How Trust Works
Your trust score helps homeowners decide who to hire. Here's how it's calculated.
What Homeowners See
When a homeowner views your profile or your bid, they see your trust grade (A+ through D), your badges, and your star rating. Higher trust scores mean your profile ranks higher in search results and your bids stand out more.
The Four Pillars
Your score is built from four pillars, each weighted differently.
Credentials
25%"Are they legit?" — Measures your licenses, business registration, and verification status.
- Verify your licenses (+20 pts each, +20 bonus for all verified)
- Register and verify your company (+5 to +25 pts)
- Link business platforms for authority tier (+10/20/30 for Bronze/Silver/Gold)
Reputation
30%"What do people say?" — Based on your in-app reviews, Google reviews, and how recent they are.
- Maintain a high star rating (up to 40 pts)
- Get more reviews — volume matters (up to 10 pts)
- Link your Google Business for additional credit (up to 30 pts)
- Recent reviews count more (+10 if within 30 days)
Track Record
30%"Do they deliver?" — Measures project completion, bid success, and responsiveness.
- New contractors (under 3 projects) start at a neutral 50
- Complete projects on time for up to 40 pts
- Win more bids to boost acceptance rate (up to 15 pts)
- Respond quickly — under 30 min gets max points (25 pts)
- Volume bonus for completing more projects (up to 20 pts)
Peer Trust
15%"Do other pros respect them?" — Based on endorsements from fellow contractors.
- Endorsements from higher-rated pros count more
- Mutual endorsements are dampened to prevent gaming
- First 10 endorsements have full weight, diminishing after
Badges
Badges are earned automatically when you hit specific milestones. They appear on your profile and bids.

3. Respond to homeowner messages quickly — response time is tracked.
4. Ask satisfied clients to leave reviews after project completion.
